Description

Private William Arden Egerton Arnold (946, 3rd Australian Light Horse Field Ambulance) was born in Hamilton, Victoria around November of 1897. He was working as a clerk when he enlisted in December 1914. William was wounded in action at Gallipoli on 15 September 1915 and died of his wounds two days later. William has no known grave, and is commemorated at the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli Peninsula, Turkey. His mother later wrote that he was 17 years 10 months of age.
