Description
Members of the 6th Reinforcements, 3rd Divisional Ammunition Column (3 DAC), waiting to board the troopship RMS Orontes. Identified front row, centre sitting on his kitbag, 31541 Gunner Louis George Wright, a 40 year old seedman of East Malvern, Vic. First row second from left, crouching, is possibly 31533 Driver (acting Bombardier) Clarence James Edward Pollock, 22 year old public servant of Kensington, Vic. Behind him is possibly 31520 Gunner (acting Corporal) John Gilbert Christensen, 30 year old police officer of Kalgoorlie, WA. Most of the other soldiers are wearing their blanket rolls over their shoulders, leather leggings and their personal stirrups are threaded through their epaulettes.
