Description
Group portrait of members of the 1st Royal Australian Naval Bridging Train (RANBT), at Domain Camp, Melbourne. These men had served in New Guinea with the AN&MEF and subsequently enlisted in the AIF. Identified is 72 Able Seaman Driver Arthur William Houston Lang, formerly a clerk of Mosman, NSW, (far left, second row). In 1917 Lang joined the AIF and served with the 4th Field Artillery Brigade before he was wounded and invalided to England towards the end of 1918.
