Waddington
Description
Waddington airfield, in Lincolnshire in England's central east, was originally opened as a training base for the Royal Flying Corps in 1916. It was closed in December 1919 but reopened as a bomber base in 1926. During the Second World War between November 1943 and July 1945, Waddington was home to 463 and 467 Squadrons, RAAF. Waddington remains an operational RAF station.
