Rose, Roy (Private, b.1930 - d.1952)
Description
Collection relating to the service of 2/400488 Private Roy Rose, 3RAR, Korean War. Collection consists of letters written by Private Rose to his parents in England. The letters cover the period while at Ingleburn camp in Australia, and later while serving in Korea. Private Rose was an Englishman who emigrated to Australia in 1950. He enlisted soon after the outbreak of the Korean War, and served with B Coy, 3 RAR. He was killed in action in September 1952. Also included in the collection are two tribute manuscripts and five photographs.
