Wallet 1 of 1 – Consists of one log book of Flying Officer Bradley, with entries dated between 10 March 1942 and 21 January 1945. It covers Flying Officer Bradley’s periods of training as a navigator and air bomber, and service in the United Kingdom. The log book records details such as dates and times of flights, aircraft types and numbers, pilots, purposes of flights, and additional remarks. Some of the purposes of flights include general navigation training, bombing and gunnery training, advanced navigation training, operational training, cross country flights, bombing operations against enemy-occupied Europe, and bomb testing.

Flying Officer Thomas Bolger Bradley enlisted to the Royal Australian Air Force on 17 August 1941. After a period of training in Australia and the United Kingdom, Flying Officer Bradley joined 75 Squadron and served as an observer and air bomber. With this unit, he served on many operational sorties against enemy-occupied Europe. On 21 July 1944, Flying Officer Bradley was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for his high standard of gallantry as an air bomber on sorties. He transferred to the Bombing Development Unit in mid-1944, and assisted in the testing of bombs and new technologies. Flying Officer Bradley was discharged on 30 May 1945.
