Description
Collection relating to the Second World War service and post-war career of VX20321 Lieutenant General Sir Horace Robertson, KBE, CBE, DSO, British Commonwealth Occupation Force (formerly 10 Light Horse and 19 Infantry Brigade), 1934-1954.
The collection comprises papers documenting Robertson's military service during the Second World War. It includes a diary of events involving the 19 Brigade in the Libyan campaign, a memoir of his time as Commander-in-Chief of the British Commonwealth Occupation Force (BCOF) and British Commonwealth Forces, Korea. Other items include a photograph album of Robertson's time in Japan, c.1947, newspaper clippings and a pamphlet on the defence of Australia, 1934.
