Description

A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. The leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to Lae. It is accompanied by an English translation of the text. The message on the leaflet reports the Japanese troops in Lae have been isolated from the rest and they have to use fouled river water, a source of diseases such as dysentery. It states that the Japanese would be welcomed only by dysentery and thirst in Lae, while safety and welcome await them in the Australian lines.
