Description

A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to the Netherlands East Indies. An English translation of the text is attached. The leaflet reports the landing of the Allied Forces in the Philippines, which places the Allies within striking distance of South China and allows them to control the sea lane between Japan and the Japanese-occupied areas in the South. The message stresses that it will be impossible for the Japanese war industry to benefit from natural resources in the South and for the High Command to send supplies and reinforcements to the Japanese forces in the South. The message blames the Japanese High Command for the hopeless situation.
