Description

A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to the Philipines, Marshall Islands, Palau Island, Saipan, Hollandia and Sansapor. An English translation of the text is attached. The leaflet concerns the landing of the Allied Forces in the Philippines and stresses that the capture of the Philippines has a significant impact on the sea transport between Japan and the Japanese-occupied territories in the South Seas. The message emphasises the superiority of the Allied Forces in the production of modern weapons and military equipment. The message also stresses the uselessness of continuing the war for the Japanese without adequate ammunition and air and naval support. It urges the Japanese troops to surrender so that they can contribute to the restoration of the country after the war.
