Letters from James Joseph Augustus Sweeney, 1918-1919
Letters relating to the First World War service of 57353 Trooper James Joseph Augustus Sweeney, 1st Light Horse Regiment. In this series of letters to his family, Sweeney details his journey to Egypt and subsequent training. He goes on to describe Palestine and Rafa as well his transfer to 1st Light Horse Regiment. Sweeney concludes the letters mentioning demobilisation and the signing of the armistice.
