Description
Imperial German Army Officer's Dress Sword and Scabbard. The nickel plated hilt has a B shape stirrup guard and plain back strap. The fishskin grip is bound with silver wire. The slightly curved nickel plated blade has a single fuller on both sides to 240 mm from the double edge spear point and there is a etched panel on both sides with a banner enscribed IN TREUE FEST. The ricasso has the makers mark of a crown over crossed swords with C K & Co between the blades on the right side. The steel black painted scabbard has a single loose ring on a band 70 mm from the throat.
