United Nations Korea Medal
Description
United Nations Korean War Medal - British and Commonwealth issue. Gilded brass medal with the UN badge on the obverse. The reverse has the inscription: 'FOR SERVICE IN/ DEFENCE OF THE/ PRINCIPLES OF THE/ CHARTER OF THE/ UNITED NATIONS'. It has a fixed bar suspender with the clasp 'KOREA'. The ribbon has 17 stripes of UN blue and white.

Awarded for service in Korea, 1950-54 to British and Commonwealth troops that served one full day in Korea or in support units in Japan.
