Elgin hunter pocket watch inscribed to Snowy Hill 'As a momento of Gallipoli'
Description
Elgin pocket watch with a Hunter movement, pendant wound, with seven jewels, serial number 24808625, set in a gilt case made by Keystone, serial number 8199122. Watch size is 16s. Engraved on the watch body, under the rear case cover are the following words: 'Presented to SNOWY HILL AS A MOMENTO OF GALLIPOLI BY Ariah Park Friends also P GUTHRIE & BOB MILLS 18.4.16'. The rear case is decorated in a machine-cut pattern. The watch is missing its front cover and second hand, and is not operating.
