History / Summary

The Challenge coins commemorate UNAMI (United Nations Assistance Mission to Iraq). UNAMI was a multinational force formed by the United Nations in 2003, consisting mainly of troops from Fiji who were charged with guarding government buildings in the Green Zone. Military advisors from several other nations, including Australia, also provided assistance.
