Description

James Baird Coward speaks of his experiences as a fighter pilot during the Second World War. He discusses his involvement in the Battle of Britain and the evacuation of Dunkirk. Coward suffered a severe leg injury when he was shot down during the Battle of Britain and following this he was transferred to Churchill's staff. Later in the war years he returned to the RAF as a trainer and went on to be posted abroad as Air Attaché.
