Keith McAuliffe as a Leading Hand, cook and baker, HMAS Hobart, Royal Australian Navy, South Vietnam, March 1968 - October 1968 interviewed by Garth O'Connell
Description
On 17 June 1968 HMAS Hobart was hit by air-launched Sparrow 3 missiles mistakenly fired by an F4 Phantom jet of the US Seventh Airforce. The ship was badly damaged and Ordinary Seaman RJ Butterworth and Chief Petty Officer RH Hunt were killed. Seven members of the crew were wounded.
