Operation Matilda, a three province sweep by Armoured Personnel Carriers of B Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment, and Centurion tanks of B Squadron, 1st Armoured Regiment. Forty four armoured vehicles and 270 soldiers took part in the eleven day operation. In the foreground is the bridge layer which proved valuable for bridging normally impassable gaps.
