Ben Tranh District, South Vietnam. June 1970. Warrant Officer Class 2 (WO2) Chris McEvoy of Goodwood, SA (right), is the intelligence liaison officer with the Australian Army Training Team Vietnam (AATTV) in a Night Operations Advisory Team (NOAT) at the Delta region. He talks with Lieutenant Richard W. Koziell of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the Ben Tranh Intelligence Adviser, and Sergeant Trung S. Binh, an interpreter at the team's base. The NOAT is a pilot scheme designed to retrain the local Regional Force soldiers for night operations against Viet Cong and North Vietnamese forces.
