Canberra, ACT. c.1938. A contour drawing by architects Emil Sodersteen and John Crust of the proposed layout of the grounds surrounding the Australian War Memorial. Note the two streets leading away from Anzac Parade were proposed as Gallipoli Avenue and Flanders Avenue and a proposed Peronne Crescent traversed the rear of the building.
