Armed with an L4A4 Bren gun and manning his position reinforced with sandbags and barbed wire, during a practice alert at his forward company base, is 38143 Private (Pte) Peter Sexton, of Howling, NSW, 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR). Pte Sexton later served in South Vietnam with 7th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (7RAR) between 1967 and 1968.
