Australian War Memorial visitors – mask and entry ticket requirement

All visitors to the Australian War Memorial will be required to bring their own mask and wear it while inside the building and on entry while in the Australian War Memorial grounds.

While there is currently no community transmission in the ACT, masks will add another line of defence to keep COVID-19 out of Canberra.

In line with ACT Health requirements visitors to the Memorial who have been in a COVID-19 affected area or exposure site during prescribed periods will not be permitted entry to the Memorial.

More information on the latest travel advice for visitors from all states and territories is available at the ACT Government COVID-19 website

Memorial visitors are also required to register online for a ticket to visit the Australian War Memorial. Tickets are free.

An entry ticket gives access to the galleries and spaces defined, at the specified time, for a timed duration.

Tickets can be booked through the Memorial’s website at www.awm.gov.au/visit

Visitors over the age of 16 years are also required to check-in prior to entry using the Check IN CBR app.

During this time all retail outlets at The Australian War Memorial will be cashless and will only be accepting card payments.
