Red, white and blue comes as a direct ode to my five-year service as a communications information systems sailor in the Royal Australian Navy. It is a deliberately violent and messy representation of the human cost associated with blind nationalism and cultural tunnel vision. The flag motif is intentionally ambiguous, as the costs associated with violent conflict are felt universally no matter what colour the flag.
