Artist statement

During 2016–18, I lost the use of my dominant right hand through injury. I was a staff officer at this time and I continued to work at full capacity with half the capability. It was a challenge professionally and personally. My family and friends were interstate, so I was very much left to my own devices, supporting myself physically and emotionally. Resilience is about performing one’s duty despite injury and presenting obstacles.
