Katherine McMahon is Head of Exhibitions and has worked at the Memorial since 2002. She has played an instrumental role in developing the strategic direction of the Memorial’s exhibitions program. She has overseen the delivery of seven major gallery redevelopment projects with a combined value of approximately $70 million; and over 20 temporary and travelling exhibitions. Katherine most recently oversaw the $32 million redevelopment of the Memorial’s historic and heritage-listed First World War galleries. This project was a key part of the package of commemorative events and initiatives that comprise the Australian Government’s Anzac Centenary Program 2014-2018. She has a Bachelor of Arts (Art History and Curatorship) from the Australian National University.
