Tivey, Edwin, CB, CMG, DSO (Major General, b.1866 - d.1947)
Description
Collection relating to the service of Major General Edwin Tivey. The collection includes personal diaries from the Boer War (1901) and First World War (1915-1919 with daily brief entries) and a diary of 8th Australian Infantry Brigade from February to October 1918. Also in the collection are Australian War Records Section biographical notes on Tivey, articles on war and letters from South Africa and miscellaneous papers. Added to the original collection in July 2009 is a typed transcript of Tivey's diary, completed by Mr Rob Droogleever.
