Description

Two turf graves, symbolizing the thousands of Australian and French soldiers who were killed in France, in front of the altar of the Amiens Cathedral. A steel helmet is on top of the cross of the Australian grave (left) and underneath it is inscribed 'Australia'. The French grave (right) also has a steel helmet on the cross and underneath it is a tri-colour cockade. Flowers cover the flags which have been draped over the graves.
