Baseball cap : Lieutenant J H Holder, 171 Operational Support Squadron, 1 Aviation Regiment, Australian Army
Yellow corduroy cap with terry towelling sweatband and a yellow plastic tab fastener at the back. On the front of the cap is an embroidered circle containing a map of Bougainville with a white dove superimposed upon it. The words 'PEACE' and 'OPERATION BEL ISI' are embroidered around the circle. The inside of the front of the cap is lined in white and has the words 'LT J.H.HOLDER' and '171 OP SPT SQN' are written in black ink.
Worn by 2810685 Lieutenant Julian Henley Holder. Between 1999 and 2001 Holder completed five two month rotations with the Peace Monitoring Group on Bougainville serving with 171 Operational Support Squadron, 1 Aviation Regiment. This unit provided a detachment headquarters and a troop of four Iroquois UH-IH helicopters in support of the PMG until 2001.
