Allies in Arms
Description
Australian War Memorial promotional poster for the 'Allies in Arms' exhibition: April 14th to July 4th, 1976. The exhibition was presented to commemorate Australian-American co-operation in the Pacific War. Official war artist Roy Hodgkinson's 1942 artwork titled 'Battin' the breeze' depicts Sergeant FrederickNielsen (USAAF) and Private Sam Brook (Australian). The original artwork is held in the Memorial's collection: ART21346.
