Experimental Owen Sub Machine Gun Bayonet
Description
Experimental Owen Sub Machine Gun Bayonet. Wooden two piece grips painted scrub green with a tubular backstrap to fit over the machine gun muzzle. The unmarked blade has a sharpened front edge and a three quarter back edge. The pommel has a sheet metal locking clip.
History / Summary
This bayonet was part of a consignment sent for destruction in the late 1950's at Port Kembla and recovered by the donor.
