Studio portrait of Lieutenant (Lt) Leslie C Maygar VC, of the Victorian Mounted Rifles. Lt Maygar was awarded the Victoria Cross for rescuing a comrade under fire at Geelhoutboom on 23 November 1901. Note the Australia sweetheart badge he is wearing on his hat.
