Y.M.C.A. : Ismailia ...
Australian First World War poster issued by the National Committee (Army and Navy Department) of the Young Men's Christian Association of Australasia (YMCA). One of a series issued to encourage new subscriptions, it features a montage of nineteen black and white photographs showing the YMCA's facilities and work in Ismailia, Egypt, with the Australian Imperial Force (AIF). It shows facilities and services provided to members of the AIF by the YMCA including mat tents, marquees and letter writing materials. There are also photographs of desert transportation and training operations. The poster is printed in black and white with the photographs set against a grey background. Graphic embellishments link each photograph to the words 'ISMAILIA' at the centre of the poster. Each photograph is numbered and this number has a corresponding description in a key at the bottom centre. The red triangular emblem of the YMCA is prominently positioned in the top centre.
