Description
Captain (later Lieutenant Colonel) Bernard Oscar Charles Duggan, Officer Commanding D Company, 21st Battalion, with a periscope in the front line trench at Courtney's Post on the Gallipoli Peninsula. He is seen with one foot resting on an elevated platform, which was used to give the operator sufficient height to hold the periscope above the parapet.
