Description
Australian staff from UNTAC on a guided tour repaint a memorial plaque to the D445 Provincial Mobile Battalion at the site of the Battle of Long Tan. The Long Tan cross, situated to the left of the plaque, was erected by 6RAR/NZ (ANZAC) in a ceremony held on 18 August 1969. It was removed to the Dong Nai Museum in Bien Hoa in 1988, and a replica erected at the battle site. Note the recent deforestation of the rubber plantation.
