Description

Black nylon webbing belt with two sterile wound dressings, a clasp knife and a zippered pouch attached. The belt has a black plastic lock over clasp with the raised manufacturer's logo and name 'Sea-Hornet' upon it. A wound dressing is attached at each hip by a plastic ratchet strap, and a grey cotton pouch containing anti-flash gear (hood and gloves) is threaded onto the belt at the rear. The wound dressings, which are contained in sealed olive green rubberised fabric packages, are marked in black 'STERILE WOUND DRESSING (COMPRESSED FOR FIELD USE) 6510-66-108-4140. The anti-flash pouch is marked in blue felt pen with the letters 'S.O.' A hole has been punched in the belt next to the left hand wound dressing, and a stainless steel shackle passed through it. Attached to the shackle is a stainless steel 'carabiner' clip, from which is suspended a Royal Australian Navy issue stainless steel clasp knife. The knife comprises a single 6 cm folding blade, but also has a folding combination can/bottle opener and a folding marlinspike. An extension of the metal divider separating the blade from the opener forms a short screwdriver. The other end of the knife has a pivoting suspension loop.
