NBC protective trousers : HMAS Darwin
Description
Royal Australian Navy issue No 1 Mk IV NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) protective trousers. The grey cotton trousers are tightly folded as received, and appear to have been vacuum packaged to minimise mass. An attached buff paper label is printed in black with the words 'FABRIC' and 'DATE' amd stamped 'NOV 1994'. A larger white paper label reads: '94 TROUSER PROT. N.B.C. No 1 MK IV MID GREY. AUSTRALIAN NAVY PART OF N.I.V. SUIT PROT. N.B.C. No 1 MK IV MID GREY. AUSTRALIAN NAVY SIZE: HEIGHT 190/BREAST 108 QTY 1 REMPLOY LTD. 073458 DATE PACKED LEVEL "L" PACKAGE' and is stamped 'DEC 1994'. There is also a Broad Arrow marking.
