NBC protective overboots : HMAS Darwin

Pair of Australian military issue NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) Mk V protective overboots. The black rubber boots have a flat sole with small rubber pimples for grip. They are folded and packed as received, in a clear plastic bag. A white sticker attached to the bag reads: 'N.S.N.: 8430-99-869-0542 OVERBOOT, NBC MK V (RN), MUKLUK OUTSOLE 1 PAIR / SIZE X-LARGE / 10 - 11 PATTERN 27680 ACTON STYLE 3095H11'. A white paper label loose inside the bag reads, on the front: 'N.S.N. 8430-99-869-0542 QTY 1 PAIR XL (10-11) OVERBOOTS, NBC MK V P.O.: 060469 BATCH LOT No: 2 ACTON PACKED FEB 1995 SEE REVERSE FOR FITTING INSTRUCTIONS'. The reverse of the label reads: ''INSTRUCTIONS FOR FITTING OVERBOOTS NBC MK V Select the appropriate size of Overboot to fit wearer's size of primary boot. Overboot Size X-Small to fit Boot Sizes 2 to 3 Overboot Size Small to fit Boot Sizes 4 to 5 Overboot Size Medium to fit Boot Sizes 6 to 7 Overboot Size Large to fit Boot Sizes 8 to 9 Overboot Size X-Large to fit Boot Sizes 10 to 11 Overboot Size XX-Large to fit Boot Sizes 12 to 14'.
