Description

Australian military issue decontamination mitt in white canvas packaging. The front of the canvas is printed in black with the following: 'WEST VIC CANVAS (Broad Arrow) 1999 4230-661137769 MITT, DECONTAMINATION, CHEMICAL AGENT, LIQUID AND VISCOUS. OPERATIONAL TYPE. USE: For the removal of liquid and thickened liquid agent contamination from:- 1. Skin. 2. Clothing. 3. Personal equipment. METHOD: 1. Place glove on hand with towelling side over palm. 2. LIFT off contamination with firm down and up movements of glove onto contaminated surface. DO NOT RUB. 3. Reverse glove on hand so that the fine fabric surface is over palm. 4. Pat contaminated surface with the glove to release powder, then rub powder into surface, folds and cracks.'
