Description
'Cyalume' 12 hour safety lightstick in plastic coated foil packaging. Printed in green on white, the main label contains the words 'CYALUME LIGHTSTICK 12 HOUR GREEN SAFETY-LIGHT' and the instructions 'JUST BEND ONCE, SNAP AND SHAKE'. The lightstick was stored in the pen pocket on the left hand sleeve of Rowbottom's overalls (REL31426.001).
History / Summary
'Cyalume' stick carried by Able Seaman Medic Rowbottom aboard HMAS Darwin during the war on Iraq. Rowbottom's duties included instruction in the self-administration of anti nerve agent drugs and the vaccination of crew members against anthrax.
