A view of Stalag VIIA, Moosburg, near Munich, in the summer. Note the German guards in the foreground, and the prisoners of war (POWs) standing outside the rows of barracks buildings. Some of the Australian POWs brought to Stalag VIIA were drafted to work camps around Munich, engaged on railway maintenance, in timber mills and cleaning garbage from the city's streets.
