The album is well presented, with headings, captions, borders and embellishments done by hand. The first page, entitled "Memories of Crete", contains photographs of original graves of Australian soldiers, including that of NX125 Captain Orpen Boyd Moriarty, and a related poem. Captured in the photographs are military, recreational, cultural, and architectural themes. Pasted into the back of the album are three pencil drawings.
