The original grave of NX125 Captain (Capt) Orpen Boyd Moriarty, 2/1st Infantry Battalion, of Sydney, NSW. Capt Moriarty was killed in action near Rethimo, Crete, on 22 May 1941, aged 34 years. His father Capt W Moriarty, ex 41st Battalion AIF, died in 1927 of injuries relating to wounds received in 1917.
