Description
Turkish Cavalry Trooper's Sword Scabbard made from sheet steel. It has a single suspension ring on a band 90 mm from the throat. The mouthpiece is screwed to the scabbard mouth on each side and there is a pronounced shoe at the chape. It has minor dents to the front and rear.
History / Summary
This sword and scabbard was given to Trooper Charles Vernon Fergusson, 1st Light Horse Regiment, when he offered aid to a wounded Turkish soldier while serving in the Middle East Campaign in 1915.
