Recruitment poster issued by the Queensland Recruiting Committee, using the stylistic language of illustration for 'Boys Own' books that were popular before, and during, the war.. Depicts an injured soldier standing in front of an artillery gun, holding a blood-soaked bayonet and appealing to the viewer to enlist for the First World War. The poster appeals to a gentleman's notion of fair play.
