Studio portrait of NX29000 Signalman (Sig) Robert Cuthbert Ingram, 8 Division Signal Company, of Point Clare, NSW. Sig Ingram enlisted on 5 June 1941, at Paddington, NSW. He died on 24 April 1944, aged 42 years, as a prisoner of war. He is commemorated at the Yokohama War Cemetery in Japan. The Cremation Memorial shrine houses an urn containing the ashes of 335 soldiers, sailors and airmen of the British Commonwealth, the United States and the Kingdom of the Netherlands who died as prisoners of war.
