Description
Collection relating to the First World War service of 3492 Private James 'Jum' Turnbull, 6 Battalion, Egypt, France and Australia, 1915-1916, 2004.
It comprises information compiled about Turnbull's First World War service, 2004, photographs of and relating to Turnbull during the war and postcards written by Turnbull, 1915-1916. The postcards are written to Turnbull's sweetheart Millicent Warmbrunn. Also included in the collection are a photograph of Millicent, a postcard to Millicent from her brother, 2014 Private Alfred Warmbrunn, 59 Battalion, and a card from 6762 Sergeant Charles Trenbert, 28 Battalion to his brother 422 Sergeant Hallmon Trenberth, 2 Battalion, who Millicent later married.
