Description

Studio portrait of PM4004 Able Seaman Evan Louis Sangster, RAN. Prior to his service in the RAN, Sangster enlisted with the Australian Army and was a member of the 2/38th Battalion between 7 November 1939 and 10 November 1941, with the service number V59493 and the rank of private. He enlisted in the RAN on 15 October 1941 and served aboard HMAS Quickmatch and HMAS Quiberon during the Second World War. He was discharged from HMAS Lonsdale on 13 June 1946.
