Informal portrait of the Exton family. Identified from left to right, back row: Gwen; Ethel; Chief Air Raid Warden Vincent Roland Exton; Mary and Jennifer (standing front). Chief Air Raid Warden Vincent Exton voluntered with the National Emergency Service in the Ashfield area of Sydney. In 1944 Mr Exton's crew won a shield for being the best team that motivated and prepared local residents for possible air raids.
