Two Centurion Mk 5/I tanks from A Squadron, 1st Armoured Regiment, Royal Australian Armoured Corps and their crew members await recovery in the Long Hai area of South Vietnam towards the end of Operation Hammersley (10 February - 3 March 1970). The vehicles are completing a fuel transfer from one tank to another. The tank in the foreground with the callsign 2, is the troop leader's vehicle, (ARN 169110), which is now part of the National Collection held at the Australian War Memorial. Sitting at right is 3792771 Lance Corporal Peter Moore, the person looking down with a cup in his left hand (centre left) is the crew commander of 2Bravo, 216159 Cpl Larry Hartnett, the man waving is thought to be 235339 Lieutenant John Harry 'Jack' Brennan, while the person at right with hands on hips is thought to be the troop sergeant, 14205 Sgt Leslie John 'Rip' Riley
