Metal plate impressed with information concerning the rigging of the Pfalz Scout. Plate reads 'VERSPANNUNGSSCHEMA DXII / (illustration of Pfalz D.XII) / a 2040mm b 2010mm c 2300mm d 2280mm Hubkabel / e 1680mm f 1675mm g 1910mm h 1905mm Gegenkabel / Dabei ergibt sich ein Anstellwinkel von / 3*am Unterflugel und 41/2 *am Oberflugel./ Pfeilform: keine / V-form: am Unterflugel 1% / am Oberflugel: keine / Pfalz-flugzeugwerke GmbH.' Painted in black on reverse of plate (now removed) : 'PLATE FROM PFLAZ SCOUT / PLANE FORCED DOWN BY / NO 4 SQUADRON AFC / THEN BASED AT CLAIRE- / MARIE (NORTHERN FRANCE) / ? AUGUST 1918./ PLANE IN AUST WAR MUSEUM CANBERRA.' Scratched into plate under paint is "?? German plane at Champion near Namur, December 1918".
